“I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta and Canadian Psychological Association. I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology through City University of Seattle and my Bachelor of Arts through the University of Alberta. I have several areas of interest and experience, including grief and loss, addictions, chronic illnesses including cancer and HIV and AIDS. I have experience working in a hospital and health care, school and community-based settings, and with Children’s Services. I have worked with a variety of age groups including young children, teens and adults. My primary interest lies in working with adults and adolescents.

The relationship between therapist and client is paramount to a successful outcome in therapy. In order for the therapeutic relationship to thrive, the therapist must create a place where clients feel that they are able to share their stories. I believe in being open, honest, and straight forward so that clients may do this. I draw from several therapy models depending on what best fits the needs of my clients. Some of these may include cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, person-centred therapy, as well as solution-focused techniques. Through the journey of therapy, I assist clients in working towards making positive changes in their lives so that they are able to live their best life.”
