“I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta and Canadian Psychological Association. I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology through City University of Seattle and my Bachelor of Arts through the University of Alberta. I have several areas of interest and experience, including trauma, grief and loss, addictions, chronic illnesses including cancer and HIV and AIDS. I have experience working in hospital and health care, school and community based settings, and with Children’s Services. I have worked with a variety of age groups including young children, teens and adults. My primary interest lies in working with adults and adolescents.

The relationship between therapist and client is paramount to a successful outcome in therapy. In order for the therapeutic relationship to thrive, the therapist must create a place where clients feel that they are able to share their story. I believe in being open, honest, and straight forward so that clients may do this. I draw from several therapy models depending on what best fits the needs of my clients. Some of these may include cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person centered therapy, as well as solution focused techniques. Through the journey of therapy, I assist clients in working towards making positive changes in their lives so that they are able to live their best life.”
